Wining and dining

Ula is famous in the region for its garlic, the reason that it is widely used in regional cooking. Dishes such as Galli Patlıcan (a regional eggplant dish), Börülce (black eyed peas) Teltoru, Saç Böreği (savoury pastry cooked on a hot iron), Börülce Çorbası (black eyed pea soup) are generally prepared and eaten in the homes of the locals. Some of these local dishes can be found in restaurants in the city centre. Also we recommend our readers try the region’s popular dish ‘Ekşili Tavuk’ (Sour Chicken) at the simple restaurants that can be found on the old Muğla road between Ula and the village of Çiçekli. This road also allows you to reach the Denizli highway by using a turnoff before reaching Çiçekli village and the Köyceğiz-Fethiye road as a short cut.
