The Milas Museum

Some of the finds unearthed in excavations conducted in the town or at archaeological sites in its vicinity are displayed in the museum.

The museum, opened in 1987, has a garden of 1500 m2 and is housed in a twin storey building. In 11 glass cases there are golden artefacts found in excavations at Stratonikeia, baked clay oil lamps found in Iasos, finds from Milas and its surrounding region and heads of statues on exhibition. The garden of the museum is used an open air display area.
