The ancient cites of Kavaklıdere

On the Yatağan-Kavaklıdere road, near the turn for Kavaklıdere, there is the road going through the village of Çayboyu to the village of Derbağ seven kilometres away. This is the site where the ruins of the ancient city of Ularima are to be found.

In the Çamayayla village of Kavaklıdere there are remains from the ancient city of Kyon, a Carian city. On a visit to Kyon you can see Roman era theatre and the ruins of stone altars.
